Why
did you make the investment to go to Guatemala?
Because
I had been twice before and knew that what is done through
the Chapel Factory program helps the people at churches
that are growing and that need a jump start for a place
to worship. These fellow Christ-followers are always so
grateful and always show the joy on their faces. I knew
by going that I would also be changed once again and realize
over again what a blessing it is to be the hands and feet
of Jesus.
What
aspect of the trip impacted you the most?
This time it was the way the team came together in such
a short time as the Body of Christ. I was overwhelmed by
the way everyone seemed to have a part to play and played
it well. As John said, if anyone person had not gone on
this trip it would have not been nearly as successful. There
was no major complainers or complaints--just the usual minor
discomforts at times. It seemed to me that God put together
the perfect team for these 10 days and I will always remember
this as a special trip, especially since I got to go with
my daughter Jill and 14 other wonderful people.
How
did God reveal himself to you while you were there?
He
showed me the Body of Christ, His church, working as it
should with all the body parts functioning productively.
